Ms. Jenna Tansky
Jenna began dancing at Kinner and Co. Dance Studio when she was five years old. She was trained in tap, ballet, jazz, lyrical, and contemporary, as well as a little bit of pointe, hip hop, and tumbling. She was also a member of the Shooting Stars Dance Team at Kinner and Co., competing at a variety of dance conventions/competitions for around 10 years. She was an assistant teacher for about 6 years and then began teaching for two years after achieving Teacher Certification through the Southern Association of Dance Masters. Jenna then went on to study dance at Southeast Missouri State University, where she earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance. Southeast provided her with many performance opportunities, including main stage dance concerts choreographed by faculty, guest artists, and selected students. Jenna was one of those selected students in the fall 2017 semester for her choreography of a tap solo on herself, and she was even selected to perform that solo at the American College Dance Association in the Adjudication Concert the following semester. She also got the opportunity to perform a faculty piece at the Grand Center Dance Fest in St. Louis in 2016. Jenna loves to dance and she loves sharing that love of dance through her teaching, so she is very excited to continue YEAR 2 at Center Pointe Dance Academy!

I was a featured dancer in the musical my freshmen year and im active in both THS Art Club and my church youth group. This past summer, I continued my dance instruction experience at Southeast Missouri’s Day of Dance in 2017 and their weekly dance intensive in 2018 and so far plan to go there to study dance and become a dance teacher in my future.
